Just a little about me:
I'm a mom of 5, I love LOVE Dulce de leche ice cream, I sing Handel's Messiah every year around Christmas, and I ADORE sewing/creating.
I have a little blog, "Simply Homemade" where I share sewing tutorials, yummy recipes, and random quirky musings about life. It's not fancy, but neither am I.
Here's my "beachy" themed project: a beach towel bag....see, it even has the word "beach" in it!! Perfect. I also needed my bag to have a pocket of sorts to store my keys, cell, and other essentials so I combined a simple drawstring bag with a zippered circle pouch. Zippers really aren't too bad, they just seem that way. Here's what you'll need for this project:
* 1 yard heavy canvas or duck cloth
* 1/2 yard contrasting coordinating fabric
* a 9 inch zipper
* pins
* a bit of fusible webbing
Okay, lets get started! I like to "write" all over my how to pictures. It seems easier to understand each step....or it could just be me.
I forgot to add the strap dimensions. It's essentially 4" x however long you want it. I then fold the raw edges lengthwise into the center and then fold in half. Just sew up the open side and voila!
Done and done! Now I have a spot for my towel and a spot for my Burt's Bees! How fantastic is that?!
